“Barns of the St. Croix Valley” for fall membership program
The Washington County Historical Society is excited to announce their Fall Membership Dinner Meeting featuring a program by Jim Lammers on his book “Barns of the St. Croix Valley: An Architect’s Sketchbook.” The event is on Thursday, September 26 at 5:30pm at the Stillwater Event Center, located at 1910 Greeley Street South, Stillwater, MN 55082. The Mobile Art Gallery, a program of ArtReach St. Croix, will travel throughout the St. Croix Valley this summer and into the fall, bringing a collaborative exhibition with the Stillwater Prison Education Department entitled, “Artwork, once captive has gone free”. Featuring 6-word memoirs and visual artwork from incarcerated persons, “Artwork, once captive has gone free,” highlights the importance of the arts in restorative justice and education.
