At the Friday, June 9th WBB monthly meeting, we welcome Carol Grannis, Leading Edge Coaching & Development to speak about Emotional Intelligence: What is it and why is it so dang important to live a great life?Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the topic that Harvard Business Review declared as one of the most important areas of study in our generation. We underestimate the power of Emotional Intelligence - join Dr. Carol Grannis with an interactive session on building your self-awareness about what EI is - why it's so important - and how do we strengthen our EI.
Meet our Speaker: Carol Grannis
Dr. Carol Grannis comes to us from Stillwater - where she has been studying, teaching and helping others develop - for over 25 years. Carol has been a featured keynote speaker and educator in the US, Canada, UK, Spain, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. Her doctoral degree is from the University of Saint Thomas in the area of Organization and Leadership Development. She has been an HR and Organizational Effectiveness practitioner for her entire career. She has been an adjunct professor at the University of MN, and the University of Saint Thomas.
Carol also co-founded and managed a consulting company for over 15 years - so she knows the hustle of being a small business owner - and she is proud to be among other smart hustlers today. The topic she is sharing with us on Emotional Intelligence - is the area that literally changed Carol's life back in 1992 - and it tilted her outlook on how she wanted to show up in life. She doesn't always get it right - but she's proud that she keeps trying.
