Meet our Speaker: Margie SchmidMargie Schmid is a certified Holistic Nutritionist who loves helping people make simple, sustainable, holistic lifestyle changes that lead to a life full of energy, confidence, and vitality. She believes that food and movement are powerful medicine, and simple changes in our nutrition and lifestyle can be empowering and life changing. Her nutrition journey has evolved over several decades. She was a highly sensitive, overweight, asthmatic child who didn’t know the first thing about nutrition. She spent most of her adult life chasing the perfect diet, often restricting her calories and overexercising.
After much soul searching and researching, she let go of many of her incorrect beliefs about diet culture and discovered health and happiness through holistic nutrition. Margie was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota. After graduating from The University of Wisconsin River Falls with a BA in Elementary Education, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she enjoyed a 31-year career with the Omaha Public Schools. After retiring, she followed her heart and her dreams back to Stillwater and combined her experience in education with her passion for nutrition. After becoming certified in Holistic Nutrition, Margie founded Sprout Nutrition and Wellness Coaching, LLC.
