October 15, 2019. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed new Chamber Member Sundberg Kennedy Ly-Au Young Architects (SKL) at a ribbon cutting celebration on October 9, 2019. The event took place in a house designed by SKL architect Jeremy Imhoff, Stillwater, MN. Jeremy Imhoff, family, friends, Chamber Ambassadors and staff were there to join in the celebration.

Sundberg Kennedy Ly-Au Young Architects (SKL) specializes in the careful crafting of buildings and spaces for residential and community use. Bringing a Pacific Northwest sensibility to the Great Lakes Region, Jeremy Imhoff heads up SKL’s Stillwater Minnesota branch, focusing on residential projects and adaptive reuse and renovation of existing buildings of all types and ages. Jeremy Imhoff is a 2018 Home of the Month award winner and was featured in the Star Tribune for a new house in Stillwater. “It was an honor to be recognized and was a unique design exercise to tie the house into the local historic vernacular of the Stillwater area while also blending with a modern sensibility that I enjoy,” the award recipient explained.

SKL’s adaptive re-use and renovations re-imagine historic buildings and places in inspiring ways. They weave new and old together to highlight the layers of history contained within the original building. In all the projects they undertake, SKL is guided by their philosophy, buildings should give back more than they take: to the clients and communities dependent on them, and the environment sustaining them.

Jeremy, his wife, Sara, and 3 children work, live, and play in Stillwater. The house they designed together is the perfect place to raise their family. Jeremy is looking forward to his continued work within the community and to build upon the unique history of Stillwater and the larger Twin Cities region that makes the area so great.
