September 14th, 2021 Oak Park Heights, MN: The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed Shopko Optical with a ribbon cutting on September 14, 2021. The event took place at 13189 60th Street North in Oak Park Heights, MN. Regional Manager Michelle Bender, General Manager Debra Rose, Dr. Ho, and staff members, Chamber Ambassadors, and staff shared in the celebration.
Shopko Optical, based out of Green Bay, WI has been in business for 40 years. This is the 97th clinic out of 111 Shopko has opened and continues to expand. The new facility offers patients comprehensive eye care including eye exams, contact lens services as well as diagnosis and treatments for eye diseases. They also offer digital eye exams often referred to as ‘tele-optometry.’ This is a comprehensive eye exam that utilizes a live, remote video conference between the patient and optometrist which allows for a more convenient, yet accurate exam.
Shopko Optical also participates in the Kids in Focus program and has wonderful volunteer efforts. “We work with the local Lions Club to identify children within the area to receive a comprehensive eye exam and pair of glasses at no charge from Shopko Optical” stated General Manager Debra Rose. The company has donated over 1000 eye exams and 1000 pairs of glasses to kids in need. It also allows for employees to spend 8 hours a year of paid time volunteering in the community! Shopko Optical accepts most major vision plans, including EyeMed, and others as well as is an open access provider for VSP.
