July 2018. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed new addition to DIRO Outdoors their new Self-Serve Cruiser Bike Rentals with a ribbon cutting celebration on July 10. The event took place at their conveniently located bike station near The Water Street Inn in downtown Stillwater. Darren Dobier, owner of DIRO Outdoors, cut the official ribbon hosting Chamber ambassadors and staff, DIRO employees, and friends and family in attendance. Attendees were excited to gather and celebrate this addition to DIRO, and to have self-service bikes for rent from a local business in Stillwater.

DIRO Outdoors is an adventure company whose mission is to inspire and outfit the community to do more outdoor activities. DIRO provides local activities and gear rentals in the St. Croix Valley & surrounding communities. Established in 2016, Darren and his team have worked tirelessly on getting the bike rentals approved and outfitted for downtown. The Self-Serve Cruiser Bikes are easy to spot with the recognizable “DIRO green” trim and modern leather seats, all fully equipped for cruising comfort, more athletic day-trip biking, or a fun date or friend-outing experience. Each even has its own bell and basket, nostalgic of a classic bicycle and fitting for downtown cruising.

With DIRO Outdoors Self-Serve Cruiser Bike Rentals you can rent a bike any day, anytime from sunrise to sunset and head off to explore the beautiful trails around the St. Croix Valley. It’s also a great way to get around downtown for a little adventure, easier parking, and a new way to travel and enjoy the atmosphere. Perfect for locals, visitors, and tourists looking for some fun and exercise. The bike station is located at the Water Street Inn on the corner of Water Street and Myrtle Street and has ten unisex, seven speed bikes available. Riders use their smartphone to rent and pay for a bike. Riders must be 18 years and older and create an account with the app to check-in and check-out the bicycles. DIRO has made getting on a bike just that simple. The actual bike pad in the parking area itself is all paved and landscaped to make the experience even more enjoyable and lovely. Darren and the DIRO Outdoors team spared no forgotten attention to detail with these awesome new Self-Serve Cruiser Bikes.
