My professional career as a Registered Nurse included hospital nursing, Public Health nursing in Washington County Public Health Department and lastly, 24 years as a School Nurse for Stillwater Schools. After retirement from nursing came an opportunity to put some other skills to work: a background in teaching aquatics; years of local community contact with children and families; and becoming a grandma to six. What better time to work on a project of passion- a local community center where all ages and all abilities are welcome to gather for wellness, recreation, and fitness! In 2022, the non-profit, Valley Community Center was created to bring that vision to reality. I am currently the board president and we are committed to making our vision a reality.
