• Intern Marketing & Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

  • Position Overview
    The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce and its Foundation are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and community-minded Marketing & Administrative Assistant. This part-time role supports marketing initiatives, social media presence, and daily administrative operations while assisting with the execution of key Chamber and Foundation events.
    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of creative work and administrative support, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about supporting local businesses and community events.


    Key Responsibilities
    Marketing & Communications
    • Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and engagement
    • Design marketing materials including posters, graphics, and promotional pieces using Canva
    • Support the development of digital and print communications
    • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing platforms
    • Assist with website updates and event promotions as needed
    Administrative Support
    • Answer phones and provide a welcoming, professional first point of contact
    • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in Chamber systems
    • Assist with general office operations and administrative tasks
    • Support Chamber staff with day-to-day needs and special projects
     
    Event Support
    • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of Chamber and Foundation events, including:
      • Food Truck Extravaganza (June 20)
      • Lumberjack Days Parade (July 19)
      • Chamber Golf Open (Monday, August 3)
    • Provide onsite event support, including setup, registration, and breakdown
    • Assist in preparation for the Rivertown Fall Art Festival

    Qualifications
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
    • Proficiency in Canva
    • Must be located in the 834 school district
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team
    • Positive attitude with a willingness to support a variety of tasks
    • Interest in community engagement and local events is a plus

    Schedule & Compensation
    • Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible schedule based on events and office needs)
    • Some evening and weekend hours required during events
