But when do you take time to look at whether you are doing things that don’t feel life-giving for you?

What have you felt duty-bound to stay committed to that is just plain not working? What boats don’t float in your life?

Ruth Tongen will talk about the toll that continuing to paddle, even when it’s just a lifeboat that’s left, takes on our life and health. She’ll help each of us take time to look for our own sinking ships by walking through a process that helps ask the hard questions and do some self-reflection. Leave with new aha’s and a plan for some spring cleaning.


Ruth Tongen is a certified professional retirement coach and a credentialed senior human resources practitioner specializing in strategy and change. She helps clients approach retirement in new ways. Additionally, she is also a registered nurse with a master’s degree in Chinese medicine and operates a health care and coaching practice in Edina. She combines her varied knowledge and background to help her clients make sound health and business decisions, think in new ways about the possibilities ahead of them, and then make it happen.
