Community Day of Service: A Day of Giving Back

The Lions Clubs of Afton/Bayport/Lakeland, Scandia Marine, Stillwater, White Bear Lake, Wildwood, and Vadnais Heights are excited to invite the community to join them for a Community Day of Service on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The event will take place at the American Legion in Bayport, located at 263 3rd St No, Bayport, MN 55003.

This free, family-friendly event will bring the community together for a morning of fun and meaningful service. Families can work together on a variety of hands-on projects to benefit others, and kids can receive free vision screenings during the event.

Event Highlights Include:

• Snack Packs for Hunger: Help assemble snack packs for children who need a little extra nourishment.
• Eco-Friendly Seed Pots: Get creative and make eco-friendly seed pots—and take one home to enjoy!
• Operation Gratitude: Create thank-you cards for troops and veterans to show your appreciation.
• Fleece Lap Blankets for Children’s Masonic Hospital: Craft cozy fleece blankets for young patients in need.
• Magic Yarn Project: Help make fun character wigs and beanies for children going through difficult times. (Adults only activity)
• Color A Smile: Create cheerful drawings to brighten the day of community members in need of a smile.
• Hypoglycemia Kits: Pack essential kits for people with diabetes who need extra care.

Come together for a morning of fun, giving back, and making a positive impact in our community. Together, we can make a BIG difference in the lives of those in need.
