Inspirational Talk by Dan Seftick
-
The death of a child is a parent’s worst nightmare. The normal course of life has been altered. Parents aren’t supposed to bury their children. The future now bears little resemblance to the visions of past dreams. To call the road ahead devastating is an understatement.
On the night of April 16, 2011, Dan Seftick’s thirty-one year old son Greg died with his friend in an avalanche in Grand Teton National Park. Despite taking all proper precautions, following requirements for a backcountry activity, and the best efforts of highly skilled search and rescue personnel, the search for these two experienced mountaineers took seven days.
In his new book Real Mountains, Dan shares his faith story and the story of this tragic accident and memories of his son Greg. He will also share his work in preserving his son’s legacy through partnerships with 4 non-profits. He will have books for sale and info on donating.
