Celebrating the joyful holiday season on Stillwater, Minnesota's Historic Mainstreet!

Take a stroll through the streets of Stillwater and be taken to a picturesque "Christmas Village" right here in the Birthplace of Minnesota! Our own Hallmark movie - now all we need is the snow!

Mainstreet Stillwater and the St. Croix Riverfront will be alive with holiday spirit, featuring seasonal lights, decorations, and festive themed weekends! Experience the holidays of old while making new memories.

Friday, November 26th - Shop Small Weekend!
This weekend will highlight Black/Plaid Friday Specials & Deals. Holiday specials will be available all weekend long to support local businesses and Minnesota-made gifts
Discover something for everyone on your list with unique finds only in Stillwater! 

See Chestnut Plaza and the historic lift bridge get lit up on both sides of the bridge to ring in the holiday season at 5:00 p.m.!

Enjoy roaming Victorian Carolers as you shop, 6:30-8:30 p.m. 

Saturday, November 27th - Small Business Saturday

Celebrate independent businesses and support local! 

Enjoy roaming Victorian Carolers as you shop, Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Friday, December 3 - Twinkle Weekend! 

This weekend lights the way to the Holidays!  Stroll down Mainstreet and visit shops & restaurants of all flavors.

Enjoy holiday lights, sights & the sounds of Victorian Carolers! 6:30-8:30 p.m

Saturday, December 4 - Twinkle Party & City Tree Lighting

Bring your family and join the fun in North Lowell Park for our Twinkle Celebration at 4:00 p.m! Twinkle lights will be given out and feel free to wear your own lights to add to the fun! Watch for Santa to arrive around 4:30 p.m.! Celebrate the official lighting of the City of Stillwater's Christmas Tree on Chestnut Plaza at 5:00 p.m. - music and more, followed be Fireworks!  Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants around town.

Friday, December 10 - Candy Town Weekend!

This weekend features sugar & spice and everything nice! Enjoy holiday lights, sweet decorations, & the sounds of Victorian Carolers! 6:30-8:30 p.m

Saturday December 11 - Gingerbread House Building Contest

The community is invited to pull out their rolling pins, grab a frosting bag and build gingerbread houses for submission in our first annual Contest! Free and open to all ages and skill levels! 10 am - 2 pm at Water Street Inn. REGISTER for Gingerbread House Building Contest HERE!  See FLYER with details HERE!

Buddy the Elf will be making an appearance too from 11 am - 2 pm - Snap a photo with your family and everybody's favorite, fun-loving Elf!

Enjoy horse-drawn Wagonette Carriage Rides from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Sunday December 12 - Santa & Reindeer

Santa Claus is coming to (down)town with 3 of his trusty reindeer.  Great time to get a family photo! And you still have time to get on Santa's good list!
Reindeer and Santa at Pedestrian Plaza 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

9 am - Noon Annual Breakfast with Santa at Water Street Inn - Bring your kids to visit Santa, a delicious kid-friendly breakfast buffet and fun holiday activities.  

Friday, December 17 - Furry Friends Weekend!

This weekend highlights our favorite furry friends! Enjoy holiday lights, sweet decorations, & the sounds of Victorian Carolers! 6:30-8:30 p.m

Saturday, December 18 - Pets in the Park

Families are invited to participate in a Pet Parade starting at Noon, meeting at the Dock Cafe' parking lot at 11:30 a.m. Follow the Grinch as he leads the Pet Parade from the Dock Cafe' parking lot. Enjoy hot cocoa & cookies and goodies afterwards along with a Petting Zoo in North Lowell Park. 

Santa Sightings! Find Santa over by Kari's Create and Paint Studio from 10 am - 1 pm on Chestnut Street and Photo Opps with Santa's Sleigh and Elves on mainstreet by the Joseph Wolf Mercantile! enjoying a Petting Zoo and Photo Opps with Santa's Sleigh and Elves! 

Later that evening the streets of Stillwater get taken over by Santa’s elves. Starting at 5 pm they will be peeking around throughout Main Street. Laugh and marvel at the antics as you try to spot one – will they be hiding around a corner, up in a tree, or tap dancing on Main Street? Catch an elf, win a candy cane!
