Historical Society Fall Dinner Meeting

Escape to the lake... Cabins of Minnesota, a slide presentation and talk by Doug Ohman, photographer of books in the Minnesota Byway series: Barns, Churches, and Schools of Minnesota will be at Boutwells Landing Town Center on Thursday, September 20. Doug's photos highlight the state's unique and treasured cabins - hideaway in the woods; the celebrated Nellie Bly houseboat on the Mississippi; ice shacks on Mille Lacs; a cabin on a pontoon in Rose Lake. Doug's books will be available for sale and he will sign copies before and after the meeting. The social hour and history exhibit begins at 5:30 p.m. with the buffet dinner with short meeting and speaker to follow at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited and welcome, but reservations are a must! Call 651-439-5956 by Friday, September 14 to reserve (or cancel) . You can pay at the door. The cost is $18 for WCHS members and $20 for non-members.
