Join us on Tuesday, November 13 at the Lowell Inn for "How Biofuels May Starve the Planet" with guest speaker, Professor C. Ford Runge. C. Ford Runge is Professor of Applied Economics and Law and Director of the Center for International Food and Agricultural Policy at the University of Minnesota. Professor Runge has served on the staff of the House Committee on Agriculture and as a Science and Diplomacy Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, working on U.S. food aid and trade. Professor Runge, and fellow U of M professor Ben Senauer, co-authored an article on the topic of biofuels in the May/June 2007 issue of Foreign Affairs magazine.The cost of the lunch and program is $17 and should be paid in advance.
