Conversations of the Valley

The Middle East: Any Good News? This is the question to be addressed at the October meeting of Conversations of the Valley, a public affairs luncheon series sponsored by the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation with financial support from First State Bank and Trust. The featured speaker is Professor Michael Barnett, Stassen Chair of International Affairs and Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Professor Barnett teaches and does research on international relations, international organizations, humanitarian action, the United Nations, and the politics of the Middle East.The program will be held on Wednesday, October 17, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Lowell Inn in Stillwater. The cost of the lunch and program is $17. To make a reservation, call the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation information and reservation line at 651-430-3830 and then submit a check, made payable to the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation, to SCVCF, PO Box 39, Hudson, WI 54016.
