I like to say that people in the valley are passionate and proud. Not just those that were born and raised here, but those that move here quickly learn our community embraces the love of the valley. It's contagious. We share several traditional downtowns including Afton, Bayport, Marine on St. Croix, Lake Elmo and of course historic Stillwater. Shopping local is important for our local economy, strengthens our community and offers jobs. I read this article and thought it was a perfect fit as we approach Small Business Saturday.
