STILLWATER ROTARY CLUB / PRESS RELEASE
NEW EVENT – Taste of the Valley
November 2018. The Stillwater Rotary Club presents for the 12th year, the Taste of the Valley event which will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Heights Hall and Club from 6 – 9 pm. “This event is a tradition in the valley and brings people together for a great cause,” says Stillwater Rotary President Doug Brady. Cost for the event is $50.00 which includes tasting of a variety of food from a variety of local restaurants, live music, a silent and live auction, and an evening of fun. Guest may vote for their top three restaurants. Last year the winner of the Taste of the Valley was the Lake Elmo Inn and Event Center.
We are pleased to share that this year’s spotlight charities will be Tubman and Family Means. Tubman funds will contribute to support services in Washington County for homeless and at-risk youth who have experienced relationship violence or sex trafficking and Family Means will provide funds to support for Day Out so there is no cost for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia to spend time with volunteers and staff in a community location.
The Rotary motto is Service Above Self, and the mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. “We are exited to give back to our community in areas that are greatly needed,” stated President Doug Brady.
