• GREATER STILLWATER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Announces a Newly Established Chamber Foundation

  • The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is proud to announce the newly established Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Foundation (Foundation). Earlier this year the Chamber Board of Directors discussed and passed a resolution to create a Foundation to serve the same footprint, Stillwater Area School District 834, as the Chamber to increase community and business engagement and involvement for a stronger and forward-looking society in the Stillwater area.
The mission of the Foundation is to serve with a focus on education initiatives, workforce development, leadership programs, business development, and community events which will enrich the life of our communities. Foundation initiatives allow the Chamber to collaborate with strategic partners and organizations to address key business issues and extend the scope of our activities. These initiatives serve a diverse audience including community leaders, entrepreneurs, non-profits, civic organization, business executives, employees, as well as educators and students.
“I could not be prouder of this accomplishment that our Board of Directors have implemented,” stated Robin Anthony, Executive Director of the Chamber. “It will give us a chance to do more and have an even greater impact,” she states. Programs including in the Foundation will be the Harnessing Young Professional Energy, (HYPE); Leadership in the Valley, (LITV); Women’s Business Bridge, (WBB); and numerous business development sessions including a focus on K-12 education and workforce development efforts. Current community events under the Foundation will be Hometown for the Holidays, Winter Gala Community Award Celebration held next February 18, 2022, and the Inaugural World Snow Sculpting Championship which will be held January 18-23, 2022.
The Chamber, established in 1891, is celebrating 130 years this year, 2021, and is a 501c(6). The Foundation incorporated in 2021, as an inclusive 501c(3) is established to support the Chamber as a way to continue to give back to our community in ways of additional scholarships, sponsorships and donations to better our communities of which we serve.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and staffed by the Executive Director/President of the Chamber and is housed within the Chamber’s office on Main Street in downtown Stillwater.
