DESCRIPTION:Please JOIN US Virtually on Wednesday\, May 20th for this Business Development session: Bringing the Workforce Back to Work - Challenges around COVID-19.\n\n \nThe Washington County Economic Development Director and Workforce Director\, along with the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce\, Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce\, Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce\, White Bear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce\, and the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce have come together to provide you with a Business Development Session.\n\nOPEN to all Chamber and community businesses to attend!\n\n\n\nPlease join us for a presentation from Eckberg Lammers Law Firm for a brief discussion addressing some of the below questions\, and others\, around returning to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. \n\n \n\n\n1.  When the Governor lifts the stay orders as to a particular business\, what happens when business owners want to reopen or have employees return to work\, and employee's feel unsafe and do not want to work?\n\n2.  Can employees who have the ability to work from home demand the ability to continue working from home?  Or can the Employer require them to return to the office?\n\n3.  Can an employer terminate an employee who refuses to return to work (assuming EE does not otherwise qualify for COVID-related eFMLA leave or other similar leave)?\n\n4.  Will such an employee who is terminated be entitled to unemployment benefits?\n\n5. How can an Employer and employees protect themselves?
