SUMMARY:Event with the Simonet Funeral Home
DESCRIPTION:End of Life Care\n\n	Healthcare Directives: a Catholic Perspective\n\n	and Pre-Arranging Your Funeral \n\n	Tuesday\, May 24\, 2011\n\n	6:30-8:30 PM\n\n \n\n	St. Mary's Catholic Church Great Hall \n\n	423 South 5th Street\n\n	Stillwater\, MN 55082\n\n	\n\n \n\n	The final days of a loved one's life can be filled with many decisions about their care. It is very helpful for everyone involved if some discussion about end of life care has taken place within the family. As Catholics\, we desire to make choices that reflect our beliefs about the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. These two presentations are being offered to assist you and your loved ones in dialogue and decision-making about care at the end of life.\n\n The Healthcare Directive presentation will provide a framework for participants to complete a healthcare directive that truly expresses their values for care at the end of life. Our panel of speakers will include Father Brian Lynch\, Dr. Don Wessel\, an internist with Stillwater Medical Group and Kim Barnhart SW at Lakeview Hospital.\n\n The Pre-arrangement Workbook and Workshop presented by Simonet Funeral Home\, will take participants through all the necessary steps needed to pre-arrange their own personalized funeral.\n\n	\n\n	We encourage anyone 18 and older to join us for these free\, informational seminars. Samples of a Catholic healthcare directive will be available as well as a pre-arrangement workbook. If you have questions you can call Leann Kaufenberg\, Pastoral Minister/Parish Nurse.651-439-4400.
