WHAT: U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will speak on science education and science opportunities taking place in the Stillwater Area. Senator Klobuchar will then announce the start of the 5th Annual Stillwater Science Challenge: Boomilever. The Science Challenge is part of the 10th Annual Da Vinci Fest, which is free and open to the public to attend.

WHO: Senator Amy Klobuchar, Stillwater Area Public Schools Superintendent Denise Pontrelli, The Partnership Plan Executive Director Beverly Petrie, Stillwater Area Public School Board members, district and local officials. 29 teams comprised of 6th-12th grade Stillwater students competing in the Boomilever Stillwater Science Challenge.
VISUALS: Senator Amy Klobuchar speaking and engaging with audience members, student science teams competing to build sustainable boomilevers, other activities taking place in the gym and throughout the building as part of Da Vinci Fest including student science and art works, Star Wars Droids, styrofoam-eating earthworms, Metro Ice sculptor, Spoken Word, podcasting, theatrical improv, film fest, musical performances, Native American Parent Advisory Council Storywalk project, potter, screen printmaker, Curio Dance, 3M Visiting Wizards, hovercraft, bed of nails demonstration, falconry, Dash & Dot computer programming, Fab Lab, Star Lab, master gardeners, Belwin Conservancy, Carpenter Nature Center, costume design, Minnesota Mycological Society, Story Ark, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, along with physics, chemistry, robotics and rocket clubs and thousands of visitors experiencing the day.
