VALLEY FRIENDSHIP CLUB TO HOST OPEN HOUSE OCTOBER 6 IN STILLWATER
October 2017. Stillwater MN. Stillwater based non-profit, Valley Friendship Club has announced an open house to celebrate their move to a new location. Formerly on Orleans Street, Valley Friendship Club has relocated to a larger space called “The Hub”. The Hub will house their offices as well as serve as a space for the people they serve with disabilities to come, participate in activities, and to belong.
The Mission of the Valley Friendship Club is to promote and provide safe and accessible social opportunities for people with disabilities while fostering friendships. They aim to enhance community connections, empower club participants to strengthen important life skills and create greater social independence. Valley Friendship Club’s vision is that every person with and without a developmental and/or intellectual disability can build enduring friendships and embrace community connections while enhancing the lives of all individuals involved: members, families, and volunteers.
By definition, “The Hub” is the core, the center, and the heart! All are welcome to join VFC for their Grand Opening Celebration of the HUB this Friday, October 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Learn about the important work of VFC and celebrate at the event which will include live music, food, games and FUN!
