September 2017. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce celebrated the fifteen year anniversary of downtown Stillwater retailer, Alfresco Casual Living at a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 7. The event was well attended with Alfresco’s staff, customers, family, friends and local business owners. In September 2002, the shop opened in the Old Simonet Warehouse Building. “I really feel like I’m celebrating 31 years downtown since I opened my first downtown business—Meg’s Café—in 1986,” says store owner, Meg Brownson.

Alfresco Casual Living is Stillwater’s “modern take on the general store” with unique and trendy merchandise in departments including Kitchen and Pantry, Kids and Baby, Tabletop and Barware, Women’s Accessories, Pets, and Home and Garden décor. Their continuously changing collections are hand-selected from a wide variety of designers that celebrate casual style with inspiring, colorful products to brighten your life.

Alfresco will be the host shop for the Stillwater Ladies’ Night Out on Thursday, September 14th starting at 5 pm with gourmet food sampling, great door prizes, and more. The shop’s 15th Anniversary Event is on Saturday, September 16th beginning at 10 am. The first 50 people in the door will receive a deluxe gift bag with fun samples and products, and the festivities will continue all day with food sampling, product demos, mini classes, door prizes and specials in the store. The celebration continues with The Good Toy Group Holiday Catalog in late October.
