Chamber Welcomes Newly Opened Portside Stillwater

August 2017. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed newly opened restaurant and bar, Portside at a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 9. The event was well attended and included some of the new Portside team, business owners, city officials, and Chamber Ambassadors.

Just opened in August, Portside Stillwater is in the former Rafters space in the Exchange Building on Main Street Stillwater. The new owners have done major renovations including adding an expansive granite bar, new lighting and more improvements yet to come. The beautiful space, designed by Dusty Nelson & John Koch has a rustic contemporary feel, features fantastic views of the St. Croix River Valley, and includes a rooftop patio that will be expanded in the next year.

Chef Taylor Kneubuhler, has developed an approachable and interesting menu of appetizers like Spanish Meatballs and Tuna Poke, as well as main course options like Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Wild Mushroom Fondue Burger, and Roasted Pear Flatbread.  Open for both lunch and dinner, Portside also offers a full bar with specialty cocktails and a nice selection of beers and wines.

“We have many exciting improvements yet to come” stated Dusty Nelson, “Downtown has many assets, especially with the historic bridge closing – we know that locals and visitors will be coming to downtown, and we hope they’ll come and check us out!”

Beginning this fall, Portside will be adding regular live music on weekends. Their happy hour features $3.00 domestic beers and rails, and $2.00 off appetizers. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm and Sundays 6:00 pm to Midnight. Watch the website for specials and upcoming events.
